USA Today Picks Salesforce.com

USA Today, a division of Gannett Co. Inc., has chosen salesforce.com for its global customer relationship management needs, the online CRM provider said yesterday.

Salesforce.com, San Francisco, builds and delivers enterprise applications as scalable online services. It provides integrated online sales force automation, customer service and support and marketing automation applications to help companies meet the challenges of global customer communication.

USA Today, Arlington, VA, has used salesforce.com at its headquarters and international offices to facilitate instant sharing of account information between worldwide account teams and management. USA Today began a pilot project in April, rolling out the salesforce.com CRM service to its internal sales force in Virginia.

USA Today is the nation's largest-selling daily newspaper, with a circulation of about 2.3 million. It is available in 60 countries.
