University Branches Out to offer E-Commerce Course

This summer UCLA Extension, the continuing education branch at the University of California at Los Angeles, will offer a new short course called E-Commerce: Architecting the Solution. The course will give participants the opportunity to become familiar with the e-commerce solutions of Lotus, IBM, Microsoft and Netscape by reviewing their back-end servers, Web/commerce servers, connectivity tools and front-end architectures.

The course is designed to give participants the ability to set up an e-commerce solution by defining business goals and strategies and understanding the technologies needed to implement the solution. Lecturers will include Steffano Korper, MS, adjunct professor, Electrical Engineering, Southern Methodist University, Dallas; and Juanita Ellis, MS, lecturer and co-founder, E-Commerce Program, Dallas.
