The University of Southern Mississippi said last week that it improved the quality of data across its campus-wide systems by using data management software from Firstlogic Inc.
The university chose Firstlogic's Data Quality Link for PeopleSoft, which integrates with PeopleSoft Student Administration and Human Resources Management solutions.
Before the switch, the university had many departments entering address data in different ways and couldn't ensure that each department handled student, alumni and employee information consistently.
With Firstlogic's solution, “we have greatly increased the speed and accuracy of our address updating,” said Mark K. Boyles, acting director of the Southern Miss Alumni Association.
