Union negotiations also on USPS’ to-do list

There’s a lot of news happening at the US Postal Service. The organization is waiting for the Postal Regulatory Commission to render judgment on possible five-day home delivery, moving ahead with other cost-cutting measures, and appealing the PRC’s “exigent” rate-increase decision. Meanwhile, it’s also negotiating with its labor unions.

Cliff Guffey, president of the American Postal Workers Union, said this week that he is “increasingly frustrated by the lack of progress” in contract negotiations, according to The Washington Post. APWU members include postal clerks, mechanics, drivers and custodians.
