Unica Corp., Lincoln, MA, a provider of enterprise marketing management solutions, said yesterday that it will not participate in today’s auction of Xchange Inc. assets, offering instead a special program for Xchange customers to migrate to Unica’s Affinium platform.
“We conducted a review of the Xchange assets and decided against bidding,” said Richard M. Darer, Unica vice president and chief financial officer. “We believe that our comprehensive program combined with a proven track record of converting Xchange customers to Affinium will be the most attractive solution for Xchange customers, regardless of which company takes ultimate ownership of Xchange’s remaining assets.”
Unica said its program eliminates the risk typically associated with product transition and offers customers immediate help with issues such as support for the Xchange platform.
During the past 18 months, Unica has migrated about 15 percent of Xchange’s customer base to Affinium. Some of Xchange’s alliance partners, such as Epsilon, also are managing the migration of some of their clients from Xchange to Affinium.
