Two New Advertisers Sign With Postal Ad Network

ORLANDO, FL — Pitney Bowes Inc. and Replacements Ltd. have signed up as the newest advertisers on the U.S. Postal Service's Postal Ad Network.

The Postal Ad Network offers marketers advertising space to peddle private goods and services in places where paid pitches had never appeared before last year, including on the sides of mail trucks and collection boxes, in post office lobbies and on the USPS Web site.

“With these signings, the Postal Ad Network is demonstrating how it can be targeted to different customer segments,” said John Ward, vice president of core business marketing at the USPS. The announcement came this week at the Spring National Postal Forum.

Pitney Bowes will begin advertising postage meters and scales for small businesses as well as its Internet postage product, ClickStamp, on Priority Mail envelopes over the next few months.

The Priority Mail envelopes will feature two advertisements for Pitney Bowes products. One ad will offer a 90-day free trial on Pitney Bowes postage meters and scales for small businesses. The other will feature Pitney Bowes' ClickStamp Online, offering $10 in free postage for registering at

Replacements Ltd., which sells china, crystal and silver, will have co-branded advertising on postal vehicles in 11 major markets. Replacements Ltd. sends the bulk of its shipments through the USPS.

The truck signage will feature USPS Priority Mail, Express Mail and Global Express Guaranteed envelopes, along with a Replacements Ltd. parcel displaying its toll-free number, Web site address and the slogan “Tools help small business.” The ads will appear on 10,000 vehicles in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Detroit, Atlanta, San Francisco, Washington, Miami, Houston and Dallas.
