In an effort to get more small businesses to advertise on its platform, Twitter is running a promotion where it will give out $1 million worth of ad credits to small businesses that haven’t used it before.
Each business is eligible to receive up to $100 worth of ads in the form of Promoted Tweets or Promoted Accounts on Twitter. The only stipulation is it has to be a company that hasn’t advertised on twitter before, and it has to be based in the US. The last day to register and take advantage of this offer is December 17th, 2013.
In addition, Twitter will throw in a free toolkit to educate advertisers on the best way to get engagement through its platform.
The promotion, running in conjunction with Small Business Saturday, isn’t a bad way to get your brands name out there during the holiday season, when plenty of people will be on the lookout for the best deals and services. It’s also a useful way to get a quick boost of followers to your Twitter account if your brand is new to the platform.
