Travelocity Now E-mails Business Customers When Schedule Doesn’t Add Up

Travel site Travelocity Business enhanced its mid-office and agent desktop systems to help business travelers avoid mix-ups that can occur from a busy schedule and last-minute changes.

Travelocity, Southlake, TX, created e-mail alerts that are sent to a traveler any time a discontinuity is detected in the traveler’s itinerary.

Instances where these e-mails may be sent include if a traveler has booked a roundtrip ticket that arrives and departs from a different airport in the same city; a connecting flight arrives in one airport and departs from another airport in the same city; and when hotel dates do not match flight arrival and departure information.

This follows the individual traveler histories service launched last May that lets business travelers reconcile expenses. It also features refund confirmation e-mails so that travelers who are reimbursed a ticket immediately know that the refund has been processed without having to wait for a credit card statement.
