Travel + Leisure Family Headed for Bimonthly

American Express Publishing Corp. will transform Travel + Leisure Family into a standalone lifestyle magazine.

The controlled-circulation title turns bimonthly with its September 2006 issue, with six issues planned for 2007. The targeted rate base is 500,000, with copies sent to affluent households selected from the Travel + Leisure subscriber pool with a high propensity to travel.

Travel + Leisure Family targets upscale parents with information and tips on planning a family vacation. It is currently sent to select subscribers of the flagship Travel + Leisure, which is sold only through subscriptions.

A companion site at www.tlfamily.com offers the same editorial coverage as its print sibling.

The magazine is part of the Travel + Leisure franchise, which includes titles like the bimonthly Travel + Leisure Golf and country editions for China, Australia, Turkey, Russia and Spain. American Express Publishing is a subsidiary of American Express Co. managed by Time Inc., a Time Warner Inc. firm.
