Transcontinental Expands Insert Capabilities

Transcontinental is investing $25 million Canadian dollars in its Saint-Hyacinthe printing plant, which specializes in flier and insert printing, the Montreal-based company reported yesterday.

The investment includes the addition of an eight-unit KBA press and related peripheral equipment and an extra 22,500-square-feet of building space, bringing the plant’s total area to 142,500-square feet. It also includes modifications to the building structure to accommodate the new press, which will start operating in spring 2007.
