TouchScape Adds Permission-Based E-Mail Feature

TouchScape Corp., Phoenix, has incorporated Email Marketing Manager, a permission-based e-mail marketing feature, into its Web-based marketing application.

The company said the new feature enables marketers to create and execute all aspects of an outbound marketing campaign. Email Marketing Manager also includes tracking, management and reporting services.

TouchScape offers Web-based customer self-service tools such as database searching, customer and product registration and agent-assisted inquiry resolution tools.

“Our subscribers are now able to utilize their online database to directly communicate with customers,” said Brian Hoover, TouchScape's president. “We've found permission-based e-mail campaigns to be incredibly effective in reaching end-consumers and prospects because people are much more receptive to messages they have requested in advance.”

He said TouchScape's customers can set up the Email Marketing Manager in about three hours. The initial setup of the TouchScape system takes a few days. The service is available for a one-time setup fee of $3,500 and a monthly per use/subscription fee of $1,000. The company also charges $1 per customer service agent interaction, 10 cents per self-service interaction and 3 cents per outbound e-mail.
