Toshiba American Business Solutions announced the appointment of Bill Melo as its CMO. The independent operating company of Toshiba Corp. provides content management solutions, especially those involving imaging.
Melo, a 12-year Toshiba veteran, moves up from his VP marketing role to take on broader responsibilities in developing global product and service development. He led the launch of the company’s newest product, a digital signage system called Ellumina, and also directed the launch of Encompass Managed Print Services.
“Bill Melo is unquestionably one of the preeminent marketing executives within the content management sector and this appointment is simply the next step in the evolution of his career,” said the company’s President and CEO Scott Maccabe.
Melo’s former stops include Hitachi Koki Imaging, Ricoh, and Imaging Portals.
