TMX Interactive said yesterday that it will provide e2 Communications' more than 400 customers with rich media e-mail services. In exchange, e2 will offer TMX Interactive's clients access to its e2Mail Center opt-in e-mail service.
E2 Communications is a provider of targeted e-mail marketing. The company's e2Mail Center is a Web-based service that offers e-mail address and profile data gathering, campaign management and reporting. It also offers targeting based on ZIP code and e-mail domain name. The company said e2Mail Center allows marketers to customize the timing and content of messages based on end-users' interests.
Both companies plan to cross-market their services to each other's clients, according to Eric Smith, chief strategic officer at TMX Interactive.
“Many of e2's customers were talking about wanting to move into rich media,” Smith said. “There's a big demand for it.”
TMX Interactive also plans to integrate its digital broadcast technology with e2 Communications' products.
