With an eye on Europe and Asia, search and Internet marketing firm Think Partnership, Northbrook, IL, said yesterday that it will acquire Web Diversity LLC, a privately held search marketing firm in London.
Think owns nine online and offline marketing companies in the United States including search engine optimization and pay-per-click firm WebSourced Inc., Morrisville, NC; affiliate marketing firm PrimaryAds Inc., North Plainfield, NJ; and KowaBunga Marketing Inc., an Internet marketing software firm in Westland, MI.
Think will pay $1 million in cash and $1 million in common stock for Web Diversity, which soon will open an office in Hong Kong as part of the deal.
“We see this as a fantastic opportunity for U.S.-based companies to leverage our paid search expertise in Europe and Asia,” Web Diversity co-founder/CEO Simon Worsfeld-Gregg said. Also, Web Diversity gets a “local touch point” in the United States, he said.
Meanwhile, the acquisition creates opportunities for PrimaryAds and KowaBunga to offer affiliate marketing internationally, according to Think.
