Raises Its Profile and Money for India, an online company that facilitates fundraising and communications for the nonprofit sector, has started an e-mail campaign to help the earthquake victims in India, and at the same time promote its own name.

The e-mail informs members and subscribers about TheRightReason's partnership with Every time a user downloads a free copy of the company's product, NetSonic — an Internet accelerator that speeds up Web browsing — will donate 10 cents to TheRightReason's Action Alert to Help India Relief effort, said Treacy Duerfeldt, founder of

Many of TheRightReason member organizations are helping relief efforts in India, and funds raised through the campaign will be directed to these organizations, Duerfeldt said.

Duerfeldt sent out 11,000 e-mails to subscribers to TheRightReason bulletins on Tuesday, and 220 e-mails to nonprofits and religious groups that are member organizations on Wednesday.

The e-mail asked subscribers and members to click on the hyperlink where they could click on the Action Alert button to find out more about the program. A hyperlink sends visitors to where they can download the product.

Duerfeldt said he is asking people to “send the e-mail along,” which will let him to reach a much wider audience.
