The Green Culture Adds 3 Eco-Commerce Sites

The Green Culture, a 7-year-old company specializing in environmentally friendly products, will officially open Conserving-water.com in July, the firm said yesterday.

The Web site, already up in part at www.conserving-water.com, will offer water conservation products such as rain barrels, rain gauges, lawn water gauges and other items.

The launch follows the company's debut of Eco-furniture.com earlier this week. This site offers furniture for living rooms, bedrooms, sunrooms, home offices, children's rooms, pets, business, and lawn and garden.

The Web-based company plans to open a garden products retail site, Eco-gardening.com, later this year. The Green Culture also owns Composters.com, which offers compost bins and several lawn and garden items.

Items for all three sites are fulfilled in the firm's 3,000-square-foot distribution center at its headquarters in Aliso Viejo, CA.

The company has avoided typical dot-com pitfalls such as overwhelming fulfillment costs and has been profitable since 1996, said Sunil Wagle, president of The Green Culture.
