Teltronics Agrees to Buy Call Center Technology From Harris Corp.

Teltronics Inc., Sarasota, FL, yesterday signed a letter of intent to acquire the 20/20 telephone switch technology and related products, including the ClearView call center solution, from Harris Corp., Melbourne, FL.

The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Harris introduced the ClearView product, which provides customer data to phone agents at their computer screens, in March 1999. The product was compatible with the 20/20 switch technology, which is a phone switch designed for telephone systems at medium-sized firms.

Teltronics makes switching systems and software for business, government and emergency response systems. The company said the acquisition would allow it to offer its products to larger businesses than it previously had as clients.
