Tele-Response Center Inc. bought the direct response call center firm TeleSTAR Marketing in a deal announced yesterday. The value of the acquisition was not disclosed.
The purchase broadens the horizons for Tele-Response, Philadelphia. In the past, Tele-Response provided outbound teleservices, mail fulfillment and analytics mainly to nonprofit clients.
TeleSTAR Marketing, Media, PA, specializes in cable television industry sales and support. With TeleSTAR, Tele-Response gains clients in the entertainment sector as well as the cable TV industry, Tele-Response said.
TeleSTAR brings inbound call center capacity and new employees with experience in the cable industry, said Stuart Discount, president of Tele-Response. The move continues Tele-Response's efforts to expand its offerings to both commercial and nonprofit clients, he said.
