LAS VEGAS – The Tae Bo infomercial boasted the most wins at the Electronic Retailing Association’s 1999 awards ceremony, hosted here Tuesday evening.
Although the infomercial for the martial arts exercise program won five awards, including one for Best Demonstration Show, it did not win the Infomercial of the Year Award. The top honor went to an infomercial for the Roto Zip Spiral Saw, produced by Future Thunder Productions, Sherman Oaks, CA.
The award for Best Corporate Infomercial was awarded to Hewlett-Packard for its infomercial titled ‘Printable Expressions,’ which marketed software to make greeting cards. The Tyee Group, Portland, OR, produced the infomercial.
