Swiss direct marketing firm dm-plus Direktmarketing AG chose PreVision Marketing's software for campaign management, reporting, database hosting, data collection and online surveys.
Marketing automation technology providers like Chordiant and Unica were considered. But PreVision, based in Lincoln, MA, won over its rivals, immediately setting to work on dm-plus client Ringier, a Swiss magazine and book publisher whose database will be hosted on PreVisionWare modules in an application service provider environment.
“It launches us into the international market and now enables us to offer it as an ASP-licensed product to our value-added resellers both internationally and domestically,” said Deirdre Girard, principal of PreVision, a Valassis company.
In the next 12 months, about 30 dm-plus clients will use PreVision to host their database. This includes DaimlerChrysler Corp.'s Mercedes, UNICEF, Mitsubishi and the Red Cross, all in Switzerland.
PreVisionWare is available in German and French. An Italian version launches next month.
Based in St. Gallen, Switzerland, dm-plus also has offices in Austria and Germany.
“They also wanted to upgrade their software and were looking for an opportunity to add on, rather than build in-house, and that's what prompted the review,” Trynka Shineman, PreVision director of strategic marketing, said of the assignment.
