Sunset magazine, a Time Inc. publication, recently announced plans to begin an e-mail marketing relationship with its 1.4 million subscribers.
Sunset magazine has partnered with e-mail marketer ClickAction Inc., Palo Alto, CA, to use e-mail as a tool for customer prospecting, customer service and the delivery of specialized editorial content.
The consumer publication, which focuses on Western-style living, design, cooking and gardening, said it would look to create an interactive dialogue with its subscribers.
“We're confident that by creating a personalized e-mail dialogue with our subscribers, we can continue to add value and build stronger relationships with our best subscribers,” said Rob Gursha, vice president and general manager at Sunset magazine.
In the longer term, the publication said it expects the new e-publishing initiative to increase its circulation profitability.
