Stein Rogan Wins $5M Mimeo.com Account

Online digital printing firm Mimeo.com tapped Stein Rogan + Partners, New York, as its agency of record on an account estimated at $5 million for next year.

An undisclosed number of agencies participated in the pitch. The New York-based printer last used an agency in 2001, when Mullen held the account.

Mimeo's mandate is to “drive demand — build the customer base, drive share-of-wallet among existing customers, retain and upsell customers and build awareness,” said Barrie Rubinstein, director of business development at Stein Rogan.

Stein Rogan will help with direct and interactive marketing, CRM, search engine marketing, brand positioning and strategy, trade show marketing, print and online advertising, event marketing, and collateral and fulfillment.

Founded seven years ago, Mimeo relied mainly on direct sales and word of mouth to generate interest in its services. The company lets customers place print orders online for document delivery the next day. Corporate clients include Starwood Hotels & Resorts, TD Waterhouse, JetBlue Airways, Pfizer Inc., Timberland Co., Perot Systems and Citigroup.

Stein Rogan's task is to scale Mimeo's business.

“Growth has been exponential,” Rubinstein said. “It's the opportunity to become the leader in on-demand, Web-based digital printing/delivery for business documents.”
