Teleperformance Argentina, subsidiary of international call center conglomerate SR.Teleperformance, acquired a majority stake in an Argentine technical support provider, the company said yesterday.
The subsidiary acquired 65 percent of Software Del Plata, Buenos Aires, for an undisclosed amount. Software Del Plata has 170 agents and generated $2 million in revenue in 2003.
Adding Software Del Plata's resources extends SR.Teleperformance's reach in Latin America, where it operates about 7,000 workstations, Danial Julien, chairman of SR.Teleperformance's supervisory board, said in a statement. The company has adopted a strategy of focusing on inbound business lines including customer service and expert assistance.
