Spiegel Catalog, Inc., Downers Grove, IL, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Spiegel, Inc., yesterday announced the relaunch of its two Web sites, www.spiegel.com and www.ultimate-outlet.com, offering faster operation and to increased ease of use. New features include faster checkout and a load time three times as fast as the sites previously offered .
Fry Multimedia, Inc., Ann Arbor, MI, handled the redesign.
An online advertising campaign and an expanded presence on America Online’s shopping channel will be used to drive traffic to the sites. Spiegel also is exploring possible e-commerce partnerships and affiliate links.
Spiegel’s four-year-old core site, www.spiegel.com, features more than 10,000 products, including items not found in its catalogs.
