Newly independent list firm Specialists Marketing Services formed a multichannel marketing subsidiary and hired a chief operating officer, the Weehawken, NJ, company said yesterday.
The company was acquired by longtime list professional Lon Mandel from parent firm ClientLogic for an undisclosed sum Dec. 6. Mandel, Specialists' CEO, said then that he planned to expand the company.
Specialists MultiChannel Solutions LLC was launched to help Specialists' clients prospect across channels more effectively, the company said. The subsidiary will work in business to business, retail, catalog, publishing, continuity, e-mail and online customer acquisition.
Curt Blattner, a 23-year industry veteran, has joined Specialists as a partner and chief operating officer. He most recently served as strategic consultant and vice president of cooperative databases at Experian. Other posts included chief marketing officer for ClientLogic and vice president of marketing for two catalog companies including Concepts Direct.
