Society to Open 2 New Chapters

The National Society of Fund Raising Executives (NSFRE), Alexandria, VA, recently said it will open two new chapters in Canada and Texas. This brings the total number of chapters to 152.

“While NSFRE has no set goal for the number of chapters we want to charter, we are committed to forming a chapter wherever there is a need,” said Paulette Maehara, president and CEO of NSFRE. “I am very excited about our continued growth, especially in Canada. It is a clear sign that more and more people in the profession see the need for and the value in NSFRE membership.”

The El Paso, TX, chapter is the 12th one in Texas, while the Quebec chapter, which is in Montreal, is the eighth in Canada.

The NSFRE, an association of fundraising executives working to advance philanthropy efforts throughout the United States and Canada, also announced that it has a membership total of more than 19,000 and that it is gaining an average of 1,000 new members a year.
