Tim Moore, CEO and cofounder of SocialCrush, said that the acquisition will build the company’s social media expertise and consultancy work for clients. SayItSocial conducts brand audits to examine a company’s social media assets and brand position in order to inform strategy development.
“With [the acquisition], SayItSocial is bringing to the table some international clients,” said Moore. SocialCrush will retain clients including media company Springer, automotive manufacturer Nissan and movie rental distributor Redbox, he said.
Not including SayItSocial’s clients, SocialCrush has nine clients, the majority of which are medium-sized businesses, said Moore.
SocialCrush has named SayItSocial CEO and founder Ty Downing its chief officer of digital technology. SayItSocial’s three other employees will start work at SocialCrush’s Wilmington, N.C. headquarters September 1.
Moore said SocialCrush will leverage the acquisition to help clients integrate Google+ into their social media strategies.
Financial terms of the deal, which closed July 24, were undisclosed.
