Social media analytics platform NUVI now offers publishing capabilities

Although it’s better known for its social media analytics and charts, NUVI is now adding social media publishing capabilities to its platform.

In addition to listening and creating reports on the performance of their Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter channels, users can now also publish content to all three networks through the NUVI platform.

NUVI CEO Keith Nellesen says the platform was still focused on social media monitoring and creating visualizations, but had decided to add a simple publishing component due to requests from its users.“These powerful new updates help elevate NUVI as a one-stop solution for publishing and analytics,” says Nellesen. “Adding publishing capabilities will allow users to have all of the capabilities they need to manage their social media offerings and trends.

This puts NUVI directly in competition with platforms such as HootSuite, SocialBro and Buffer.

Nellesen admitted that there might be more “robust” listening and publishing tools out there, but the NUVI platform was aimed at a user base with less complex needs. “Our customers are mostly agencies and small-to-medium businesses,” says Nellesen. “We’re creating a broad-based, simple easy to use social media tool that fits their needs.”

Along with publishing capabilities, NUVI is announcing enhanced listening features for its platform. These include:

1) Instagram hashtag monitoring:  The platform will provide will nalytics on Instagram hashtag campaign performance.

2) Geo targeting: Listening gets more local, as users can narrow the location of the conversations they want to monitor by city, state or country.

3)  Word Cloud Visualization: This allows users to segment trending keywords, hashtags, terms and concepts, as well as emotional categories in a visually intuitive dashboard.

4) Network Targeting: Network targeting allows users to specify a specific social platform to focus on, including Twitter, Facebook, RSS, YouTube, Google+, Vimeo, Reddit, Tumblr, WordPress and Disqus.
