Yesmail Inc., an online relationship marketing company, said yesterday that it added SmartBargains.com as a new client that will use Yesmail's ASP customer retention solution.
SmartBargains is a virtual shopping adventure where consumers can shop for deals online on branded, first-quality merchandise at prices up to 80 percent off retail. Yesmail, Chicago, will support SmartBargains' e-mail marketing.
“Yesmail's solution allows us to leverage our customer knowledge to deliver customized communication that is relevant to the shopping interests of each customer,” said Carl Rosendorf, president/CEO for SmartBargains.
SmartBargains plans to use the unique features of Yesmail's YesConnect 5.0 technology including advanced targeting, dynamic personalization and triggered messaging and sophisticated reporting capabilities. These will let SmartBargains deliver personalized e-mail using purchase history as well as target and segment audiences for e-mail programs.
Dave Menzel, chief executive officer for Yesmail, said SmartBargains has already launched the first campaign for SmartBargains and the company has “experienced response rates that are much higher than the industry average.”
