Sitel Plans Return to Omaha, CFO Resigning

Teleservices agency Sitel Corp. announced yesterday its plan to return its headquarters to Omaha, NE, and said its chief financial officer would resign effective May 23.

The company was based in Omaha from its founding in 1985 until 1997, when CEO Jim Lynch stepped down and the headquarters moved to Baltimore. Lynch returned as CEO in April 2001.

Sitel did not specify the reason for the resignation of CFO James E. Stevenson, a Sitel executive for three years. However, the company said it would use a search firm to find a replacement for Stevenson who likely will be based out of Omaha.

Stevenson will consult with Sitel beyond the end of his employment to assist with the transition, Sitel said.
