The partnership is aimed at supporting the relaunch of Simon & Schuster’s Web site,
www.SimonandSchuster.com. The new site will feature newsletters and e-mail marketing promotions run on the Responsys Interact platform.
The new e-mail program gives consumers the opportunity to opt in for personalized e-mails with publisher news, book releases, author updates and videos based on their preferences. The e-mails will automatically be formatted for the mobile phone as well.
Simon & Schuster also is using Responsys to send automated e-mails to update subscribers on author news including local and national appearances, awards, new books or video and for those authors that use social media, their Facebook and Twitter posts.
