Siebel Systems Inc. and Teradata, a division of NCR Corp., announced a strategic partnership yesterday.
The partnership aims to provide integration and optimization between Siebel Analytics products and the Teradata Warehouse. Teradata is now a strategic platform partner in the Siebel alliances program, and Teradata Warehouse will become a supported database platform for Siebel Analytics.
With planned availability to initial customers this quarter and general availability targeted for the third quarter, all Siebel analytic applications will be optimized for the Teradata Warehouse.
Also in the third quarter, Siebel, San Mateo, CA, and Teradata, Dayton, OH, plan to make available an integration methodology between Teradata's logical data models and Siebel's Analytic Application data models to minimize data redundancy and to speed implementation for joint customers.
The Siebel Analytics product family includes more than 150 applications in more than 20 industries.
