Siebel Debuts Software, Strikes a Deal to Buy nQuire

Customer relationship management vendor Siebel Systems Inc. yesterday unveiled the latest version of its eBusiness Applications and also said it had an agreement to buy nQuire Software Inc.

More than 50 partners announced their support for Siebel 7, which lets organizations manage, synchronize and coordinate all customer touch points across the Web, call center, field sales and partner channels.

The Harte-Hanks Trillium Software division along with the other partners will submit the integration of its Trillium Software System for validation with Siebel 7 within 90 days of general availability.

“Data quality is critical for accurate customer identification and profitable customer relationships,” said Catherine Cherubino, senior managing director, software and industry alliances for Siebel. “The integration of Siebel eBusiness Applications with the Trillium Software System delivers cost saving technology that enables organizations to correctly identify, maintain and build profitable customer relationships.”

Fair, Isaac and Company Inc., a customer analytics and decision technology vendor, will integrate its ClickPremium service, a real-time underwriting product, to Siebel eInsurance. EInsurance is designed to meet the needs of insurance customers, field agents, brokers, claims representatives, and call center professionals

Siebel yesterday said it had an agreement to buy nQuire Software.

Siebel Systems will integrate and ship nQuire's highly scalable analytic server and zero-footprint, intelligent Web products with Siebel 7.

“With this acquisition, we complete our product offering in marketing automation and marketing analytics,” said Thomas M. Siebel, chairman and chief executive officer. “With the nQuire acquisition, we will fundamentally change organizations' understanding and deployment of customer intelligence and market intelligence. The marketing analytics capability of the Siebel 7 product offering will become the standard by which all other products are measured.”
