Shopping Engine ShopWiki Invites Reviews on Video

Shopping search engine and e-commerce site ShopWiki releases video reviews today to accompany text critiques.

The reviews will function like the existing written reviews found on the site at www.shopwiki.com underneath the Buying Guides icon. However, instead of finding text, users who click on the icon will see video clips.

Shopwiki, New York, is paying reviewers $50 for each of the first 500 videos selected to appear on the site. More than 50 videos have been produced on the site so far, some of them by people who have written text reviews.

The reviews are for a number of products including the ConAir Ionic Speed Hair Dryer and the Garmin eTrex Vista C, a GPS device. It also includes reviews from Apple tech support retailer TekServe in New York and experts from sporting goods store Paragon Sports.
