ShopNBC/Telemundo Partnership Blossoms With Catalog

ShopNBC will begin a Spanish-language version of its 16-page catalog, following up on a partnership with Latin American network Telemundo to sell jewelry featured in the Spanish-language soap opera “El Clon,” the television shopping network said.

The Spanish-language catalog will launch in time for Valentine's Day, ShopNBC said. ShopNBC also plans jewelry product marketing campaigns in conjunction with the Billboard Latin Music Awards this year and other joint marketing projects.

These projects follow the successful sales of jewelry that appeared on “El Clon,” including an adjustable crystal set gold-plated sleeve bracelet and a green turquoise pendant set in sterling silver on a leather cord necklace. The items appeared on the ShopNBC Web site shoptelemundo.com in time for Christmas sales.

Among the jewelry ShopNBC plans to offer the Hispanic market is a group of necklaces and bracelets featuring Our Lady of Guadalupe, a shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary and the most-visited Catholic church in the world next to the Vatican, according to ShopNBC.
