Shopko Stores Co. launched its first loyalty program over the weekend.
The incentive-based program offers two ways for Shopko customers to save.
My Extra Savings offers customers special savings on advertised items and in-store specials. And the My Shopko Rewards Visa is a co-branded credit card that can be used anywhere Visa is accepted and earns points every time it is used.
Cardholders will receive a $10 coupon for every 1,000 points earned. Shoppers earn three points for each dollar spent at Shopko, two points for family-lifestyle purchases like dining, movies and entertainment, and one point for each dollar spent on other outside purchases.
Shopko Stores, owned by private investment firm Sun Capital Partners Inc., is a $2.2 billion retailer based in Green Bay, WI. It operates 132 stores in 13 states.
