ShoeDazzle names Nieman first CMO

Online retailer ShoeDazzle has hired Hope Neiman as its first CMO.

Neiman will join the e-commerce merchant after a stint as VP of online and e-commerce for fitness brand Beachbody. She also previously served as VP of marketing at Disney Interactive and COO of baby goods retailer Right Start.

Neiman will lead the teams that handle marketing, PR and website design. She will report to ShoeDazzle CEO and founder Brian Lee.

The e-tailer, co-founded by reality show star Kim Kardashian, launched two years ago. It is a shopping club that gives members a monthly selection of footwear and accessories to choose from based on their personal profile.

“It is incredibly exciting to have [Neiman] join the team and take us to the next level,” said Lee, in a statement. “Her vast experience in e-commerce and deep understanding of social buying will aid ShoeDazzle in achieving the aggressive goals we have mapped out for the company.”

Neiman said via e-mail that a main goal is to put in place programs to grow the company’s community. The company has expanded its marketing budget to allow it to take a targeted approach to advertising, marketing and customer acquisition, she said.

ShoeDazzle also recently hired a head of product and is seeking to add staffers in other areas, such as analytics, Neiman said.
