The Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization is partnering with IncisiveMedia, host of the Search Engine Strategies conferences, to sponsor three major networking events at the SES show Aug. 7-10 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center.
SEMPO’s decision to partner with London-based Incisive Media is part of its mission to provide a foundation for industry growth through building stronger relationships, fostering awareness, providing education, promoting the industry, generating research and creating a better understanding of search and its role in marketing, said SEMPO spokesman Greg Jarboe.
“Our strategy is to work with SES [San Jose], the gold standard of conferences for professional search marketers, to share our efforts in improving education and awareness of search marketing,” Mr. Jarboe said.
In addition to the regular SEMPO networking event, the company is also holding two new networking opportunities. One is focused on in-house corporate search marketers and the other targeted to global search marketing.
“We believe the in-house event will be the largest gathering of client-side search marketing specialists in SES history and we expect to find new topics for SEMPO initiatives during the event,” Mr. Jarboe said.
“The global search marketing networking event will be a great opportunity for networking, idea sharing and an update on what SEMPO has been doing to grow the awareness of search around the world,” he said.
