A new search marketing agency, Formic Media Inc., has opened in Portland, OR. The agency will focus on Web analytics, SEO services, pay-per-click (PPC) advertising planning and keyword research for small and midsize businesses.
“We’re a search company offering affordable search to small businesses,” said Kent Lewis, president of Formic. “We’re ROI-focused, not return-to-shareholder focused…service is our primary differentiator.”
The company is starting out by signing on local Northwest-based clients, but some of those clients do have a national footprint.
Formic’s current clients include Club Z! Tutors, Lane PR and MCorp Consulting.
The firm also is developing partnerships with large corporations, interactive agencies and consultants to provide private-labeled services or sales commissions for referrals that become clients.
Formic is a spinoff of Anvil Media Inc., also under Lewis’ leadership. Anvil is an international SEM firm that works with Fortune 1,000 companies.
Lewis said that with the exception of himself, Formic and Anvil will have completely separate executive management teams by April 1.
