SearchBuzz News Briefs: Not Such a Surprise: eBay Bans Google Checkout

eBay , which owns payment system PayPal , has publicly announced that it will not allow the Google Checkout as a payment program on its site. Google, incidentally, does not allow PayPal as a payment for AdWords.

Wunderman , a WPP firm, has recently acquired interactive agency ZAAZ, whose services include search engine marketing and optimization.

Thinking about some Changes…and Partnerships

Think Partnership Inc. has announced a management shift, including the hires of Stan Antonuk as chief operating officer and John Linden as chief technology officer. Think’s current COO, George Douaire, also has a new role as president of the consumer services division in preparation of a proposed sale, as previously announced. In a second release, the firm stated that shareholders sold about 3.2 million common shares and warrants to buy about 3.1 million common shares to private investors.
