Screen4me Corp., Atlanta, which places consumers on the do-not-call lists of more than 1,000 telemarketers, has entered into an agreement to market its service to 1.4 million members of Care2.com.
Care2, an online community for those interested in environmental issues, will recommend the Screen4me service to its members. For every Care2 member who signs up for the service, Screen4me has agreed to donate money to Care2 that it will use to purchase endangered rain forests.
Screen4me also puts consumers on the opt-out lists of direct mail and e-mail marketers. The company is promoting its service to Care2 members by emphasizing that they can help save trees and reduce waste paper in landfills by reducing direct mail.
Screen4me charges no fee for its service, but allows its business partners to send targeted offers to Screen4me members.
