Permission-based e-mail guardian company Screen4me Corp., Atlanta, said yesterday that it launched a combination of permission-marketing and privacy tools. The tools are designed to help consumers control the marketing they receive and to enable companies to create deeper relationships with consumers.
The first service, Guardian Agent 1.0, allows consumers to register at www.screen4me.com and opt in or opt out of direct marketing they receive, including telemarketing, direct mail and e-mail. Opt-out requests are forwarded to more than 1,000 direct marketers. To opt in, consumers can fill out a short profile describing their interests and preferred method of contact. Screen4me then works with marketers to fulfill the requests.
