The Sawtooth Group has created its newest division with Sawtooth Health, which is focused on the marketing of hospitals, academic medical centers and health systems across the country, with an additional focus on communitywide wellness initiatives.
As the first client of the division, Sawtooth Health has signed on 1-800-Doctors, a unique, nationwide vanity number marketing service connecting patients with physicians, hospitals and other medical services. As agency of record, Sawtooth will market 1-800-Doctors to consumers looking to tap into timely medical information and to leading hospitals seeking to build physician loyalty and increase revenue.
Woodbridge, NJ-based Sawtooth also named Patricia Little managing partner for Sawtooth Health.
Ms. Little joins Sawtooth after working for Princeton Partners Inc. for over a decade, serving as managing partner for their Princeton Partners Health Division for the past five years.
While many advertising agencies are looking to focus on the pharmaceutical element of health and wellness, Sawtooth Health will exclusively be focused on hospitals and health systems, Sawtooth said. This concentrated focus is based on the agency’s proven track record in giving brands like McCormick, PAAS and Pabst an emotional connection with their consumer.
“Hospitals today need to treat their marketing efforts as a chronic need rather than an episodic condition,” Ms. Little said in a statement. “And the launch of Sawtooth Health will be focused on helping these institutions build differentiated and dynamic brands that create long term relationships with consumers.
“I am excited about working closely with the executive team here and taking the success that The Sawtooth Group has had with major brands in the food, beverage, hospitality and insurance sectors and bringing it to this exciting new frontier for the agency,” she said.
