Salesforce.com announced today that it has closed down its Preferred Marketing Developer (PMD) program and joined Facebook Marketing Partner. It will partner with the social network in ad technology, audience onboarding, content marketing, and community management.
“Salesforce has a longstanding relationship with Facebook. With Salesforce Marketing Cloud, we have combined the pioneers and leaders of social marketing—Radian6 for social listening, Buddy Media for social publishing, and Social.com for advertising—and have worked with Facebook to deliver amazing products and services for marketers,” wrote Salesforce Marketing Cloud SVP of Product Management Gregg Johnson in a blog published on the company’s site today.
Salesforce previously launched an integration with Facebook Custom Audiences at Dreamforce and the company’s Active Audiences product was the winner of a Facebook Innovation Awards. Its Marketing Cloud’s Social.com component also recently expanded its relationship with Facebook’s rebuilt Atlas ad platform.
