R.R. Donnelley & Sons, a Chicago print production and marketing services firm, sold its Mobium Creative Group ad agency to Colle + McVoy, Minneapolis.
The acquisition gives Colle + McVoy, a unit of Toronto-based MDC Partners Inc., a valuable foothold in Chicago and an employee base of more than 230 staff. Colle, whose clients include Bayer, Honda, Nestle Purina and 3M, also has offices in New York and Los Angeles.
Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
A specialist in business-to-business advertising, Mobium has clients like Oce North America, NEC-Mitsubishi, Hostway, IFF, RRD Logistics, RRD Direct and CNH. It was named agency of the year in 2003 by the Business Marketing Association.
