Royal Mail Plans to Cut 3,000 Management Positions

Britain's Royal Mail PLC is seeking the voluntary resignation of 3,000 non-operational managers as part of a turnaround plan to cut 30,000 jobs over three years.

“There is no avoiding the harsh reality that Royal Mail must reduce its overheads and become more efficient to ensure a successful future,” chief executive Adam Cozier said in a statement.

Nearly 14,500 jobs have been cut since the renewal plan started a year and a half ago.

The new job cuts will not affect postal workers delivering mail. It is expected that the cuts will come by the end of Royal Mail's financial year in March, according to The Guardian, based in the UK.
