Ross-Simons Adds Video to Web Site

Jewelry and gift multichannel merchant Ross-Simons will launch the first in a series of Web videos on its Web site, ross-simons.com, tomorrow.

The videos will feature actress Lauren Koslow of NBC’s “Days of Our Lives,” and Darrell Ross, president of Ross-Simons, Cranston, RI, describing the most popular items in the jewelry line each season. Clicking on the highlighted item will bring viewers directly to product and order information.

“This is going to upgrade our traditional marketing practices by giving us a chance to differentiate,” Ross said in a statement.

The videos also will give customers a backstage view of how the company develops its styles with the help of international jewelry makers. For example, the best-selling item this season is a cameo necklace exclusive to Ross-Simons, according to the statement. In the video, Ross will describe how his company worked with fourth-generation cameo makers in Torre del Greco, Italy, to create the brown pearl and crystal piece.
