RMI Offers Clients Paperless Reporting, Payment Options

RMI Direct Marketing Inc. has given its list management clients the option to reduce the amount of paper necessary to do business with online reports and direct deposit, the company said yesterday.

List owners that have files managed at RMI can now access their month-end activity and billing reports from the company via a secure Web site by entering a login and password at www.rmidirect.com. Reports are accessible for one full year and clients can go in any time they want to access information.

“We launched for February month-end reports and I’ve gotten some great feedback from our list owners,” Tally Maffucci, executive vice president, RMI Direct Marketing Inc., Danbury, CT.

The decision to make the reports available online was more proactive than reactive despite a few requests, she said.

The other part of the initiative is direct deposit for management clients so that instead of sending a paper check, list revenue goes directly into the list owner’s account on the day of distribution.

While getting paid faster is likely very appealing to most list owners, at least one is pleased with RMI’s new offerings for another reason.

“We’re hoping to save a lot of trees and our client National Arbor Day was one of the first to sign up,” Ms. Maffucci said.

RMI is looking to launch similar offerings for their brokerage clients sometime next year.
