A Congressionial hearing on credit card rates is set for December 11. A panel led by Sen. Carl Levin (D-MI) and Sen. Norm Coleman (R-MN) has asked executives from Discover, Bank of America and Capital One Financial to testify on why they raise customers’ interest rates when those customers have a solid payment history.
