Revlon’s “interactive fashion film” lets you choose how the ad unfolds

Here’s a new kind of advertisement of the “choose-your-own-adventure” variety.

Revlon’s found a great way to get some engagement on its Facebook page by creating an interactive video ad. The ad lets you decide what direction the narrative is going to go by clicking between options.

The video starts with a model getting out of bed and getting ready for the day. Once she gets to the mirror to start applying her make up, two choices pop up on the screen regarding her make up choices for the day and the viewer has five seconds to decide.

As her day progresses, you get to make more and more decisions for the model, e.g. what her style is today, should she shop or should she mingle, does she dress up or dress down?

The game-ification of advertising is always fun if its done right, and this product has a really smooth, classy vibe to it, which should be fun to play around with.

You can check out the video on Revlon’s Facebook page.
